The International Journal of Law and Business Studies (IJLBS) does not accept plagiarism in any form. Authors must acknowledge all sources of text, ideas, data, tables, and figures used in their manuscripts. Direct quotations must be clearly marked and cited. Translating another person’s work without attribution or substantially reusing one’s own published material without citation and disclosure is also unacceptable.
Similarity Screening
All submissions are screened for similarity before acceptance using iThenticate or DrillBit. The overall similarity index should not exceed 15%, excluding the reference list and properly marked and cited quotations.
Similarity reports are assessed by the editorial team. A score below 15% does not establish that a manuscript is free from plagiarism. Matched content, its attribution, and its significance to the work are examined before a decision is made. Extracts from legislation and judgments must also be clearly identified and cited.
Action on Plagiarism
Manuscripts with limited citation or quotation errors may be returned for correction. Substantial plagiarism may lead to rejection. Authors will normally be informed of the concerns and given an opportunity to respond.
If plagiarism is established after publication, the journal may issue a correction or retraction, depending on its extent and seriousness. A retracted article will be clearly marked and linked to a notice explaining the reason.
